Isham “Pop” Douglas, 91, resident of Dalton, GA went to his heavenly home on Thursday morning, June 20, 2019.  He was born in Little Elk, TN, October 19, 1927 to the late William Albert “Bill” Douglas and Laura Belle Lay Douglas.  He was preceded in death by his loving wife and mother of his children, Margaret Douglas.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Carrie Douglas Blankenship, Hattie Mae Wheat, R.L. Douglas, and Noah Douglas.  He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean War.  He was retired from the United States Postal Service.  He enjoyed gardening, particularly flowering plants and most especially tomatoes.  He was a faithful family man and was especially proud of his grandkids and great grandkids.  Above all, he was a faithful believer in Jesus Christ, and avid Bible student and teacher.   more
