The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a man as part of a death investigation in reference to a shooting that occurred early Sunday morning. Matthew L. Wolfcale, 25, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder.

Investigation into a reported shooting that left one man dead early Sunday morning is continuing following the arrest of a suspect later in the day.
According to a BCSO news release, Matthew L. Wolfcale, 25, has been arrested and charged with second-degree murder. At 4:08 a.m. Sunday, deputies responded to reports of a gunshot at 3515 Bates Pike S.E. Upon arrival, a male victim was found deceased.
BCSO confirmed “a person of interest as well as several witnesses” were interviewed, and the roadway was closed in the area during the investigation.
Wolfcale is currently in custody in the Bradley County Jail.
BCSO officials report identity of the victim will be disclosed once family members have been notified.
Details surrounding the alleged shooting, and why it occurred, have not been released by BCSO investigators.
